No where does Ayn justify "Capitalism purely for the sake of Capitalism" or "profits solely for the sake of Profits". Hank Reardon makes a product that is superior, he pays wages above Union Scale. He is not a Capitalist in the form so prevalent today...He deals on a "Value for Value" basis..There is value in his product, his service and he respects the value in his employees, and that is demonstrated by his wages...a concept not at all relevant today ...John Galts Pledge states clearly, "I swear by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine"..Forcing an employee to work for "minimum wages" is forcing that man to live for another mans sake...<br />I enjoyed reading Atlas until I got to the part where Dagny Taggart abandoned Eddie Willers...They shared the same ethics and values, but as Charles demonstrtaes in "Atlas Begs to Differ" and it is good lesson to many who will never heed it, the wealthy will eliminate anyone for no reason at all...Eddies loyalty got him nowhere....Dagny Was a creator , but her goal did not include the very people who made the goal a worthwhile endeavor. Running a train without customers is what I do on my HO layout...Hiring a company to harvest your crop only makes sense when you have someone who can afford to purchase your grain...Henry Ford understood this when he worked with Unions to get weekends off..so his customers, which were his employees in a lot of cases, could use the product he sold them....Logic has long since been eliminated in the world of business..and so many who are riding on the imaginary coat tails of the wealthy are the biggest enablers in the destruction of the very source and reason for their purpose as employee. I have stated if Willard wins we are quitting our jobs and taking advantage of the "free ride" on the grounds that at least we will justify the ignorant accusations unfairly leveled at so many who have more ethos and integrity than the mindless parrots of hate filled diatribes. Of course I will probably be laid off before I get the chance...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15454336393378785268noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3263397606915581868.post-70736756887619851422012-09-01T11:34:28.864-07:002012-09-01T11:34:28.864-07:00Thank you.Thank you.Charles D.
